Cardigan Barber/Hairdresser
« on: Friday 26 August 11 10:51 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find some information on my GGGrandfather and his wife. James Hilliar lived in Cardigan from the 1850's and was the town barber/hairdresser. He had a premises on the High Street(IThink). He died in 1872 and was buried in St Marys. His wife Sage lived till 104 yrs old and died in 1901. She was buried in St Marys also. They were unable to have children and adopted and fostered children instead. Surely there must be something about Sage and her great age in the local paper etc. If anyone has any info I would be most grateful.
Regards, Chris

The local weekly paper for Cardigan is the Tivyside Advertiser which would almost certainly have carried some kind of record. If you have he birth date I'd be happy to have a look.
