Thank you again! As I said previously, I only have the basic findmypast subscription allowing me only to see the 1911 census - so this is fascinating!

There is only one death on the CWGC site and he was a civilian in Birmingham Warwickshire, no relatives found

The freeBMD database is here  http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

There are Kaminski here, ( Ontario cemetery index) but nothing conclusive...no Ruth...  http://ocfa.islandnet.com/ocfa-search.php

Could this be the couple? (Will not give full details since there's a chance she is still alive.)
US Naturalization record index
Ruth Kaminski (middle name does begin with M), living in California.  Her birth year and quarter fits with "your" Ruth. Certificate issued: March 29, 1963.

John Kaminski (middle name does begin with A), living at the same street address as Ruth.  Born in 1917.  Certificate issued March 29, 1963.

I have not yet found Ruth's passing.  I have not yet looked for the passing of John.

I will send naturalization information to Sue.

Thank you.  I only found her after reading all of the other posts.  I don't think I would have found them otherwise.
