Elizabeth Ann Crane 1876 Norfolk
« on: Thursday 15 September 11 09:26 BST (UK) »
Elizabeth was born in Upwell near Wisbech and then was raised by her parents Thomas and Hannah in Downham Market Norfolk.
In 1897 she married William Buckenham, they had several children and then in 1911 the children are living in Derbyshire and the father is ill.
I have been told that Elizabeth left her husband and took their youngest child Stephen with her, but what happened to her after that?
Did she go abroad ?
Did she remarry?
When did she die ?
any help would be good.

Stephen was born in 1907 in Worksop Nottinghamshire

It seems her other children changed their name to Buckingham, but Stephen did not

Hi

Are Elizabeth & her son Stephen missing in 1911 - and iif so: in that Census, what does the husband's marital status say?

You mention that Stephen didn't change his name from BUCKENHAM to BUCKINGHAM - does this mean that you ultimately know what became of him  - ie: aside from possibly disappearing with his mother at one stage, he turned up later on (perhaps as an adult)?

Cheers
