Laurie & Booth - Needle in a hay stack
« on: Wednesday 21 September 11 18:52 BST (UK) »
I am looking for a ? Laurie/Lawrie who married a Jane Elizabeth Booth, born Chapel le Frith, Derbyshire, England in 1884.
Her parents move to Ireland and can find them in the 1911 census. Cannot find Jane Elizabeth in the British 1911 census. Have looked for a marriage on the BMD's in England and researched in Ireland. I think they were married between 1903 and 1911 and had a son called Gerald. Mr Laurie/Lawrie was a clergyman.
I do understand there is nothing concrete to work with.
Any help would be appreciated.

There is a marriage in 1914 Dumfriesshire

John Laurie and Jane Booth

It can be viewed on pay per view site Scotlandspeople which will confirm parent's names

Thank you, I will do that.

Just wonder where Jane (Elizabeth) was in 1911.
She was always known as "Bas".
