yes i have had a lot of help with this one already, somebody (shaunj i think) did give me links to some records, but they are very hard to read. any help is very appreciated.  (ive not done foreign records before)
what i really really want is to know whether he remarried, he was only 37 when he went out, but any additional info is greatly welcome, even somebody elses ideas of transcription :)

The only reference to John Hignall is convicted at Gloucester Quarter Sessions on 3rd January 1843 and sentenced to seven years.
