"The bottom inscription reads Margaret Scott Roscoe, died 27th April 1882 aged 63 years which matches the Margaret Roscoe on our records because our dates are of burial not death, the second from the bottom is Mary Hinton Roscoe cant read the date of death but was May 1878 and age 92 years of age matches Mary Roscoe, Mary Hinton matches in age the Mary Hunter Roscoe 1858 and age 2 years, in this case I have checked all original records and the second name is definitely written HUNTER .The Jeremiah Roscoe we have when looking at the original record was Baptist he was buried by a Baptist Minister Reverend W Clark. Our records show his age as 64 years whereas the headstone appears to have his age as 63 years- the family did the inscriptions the cemetery did not regulate or do these for families. We do not have Euphemia on our records and the inscription for Margaret Scott is the last on the headstone except for the MacDonald and Hughes the stonemasons inscription on the bottom. The fact that the names are not the same as our records is quite common once again the family chose what was inscribed. Not that Jeremiah was the last interred James Roscoe does not appear and Anna Whitehead was buried 7 days earlier than Jeremiah."
