Lost brother
« on: Monday 10 October 11 20:14 BST (UK) »
Need assistance please.....I have found that my grandmother had two brothers..Leslie Nelson..DOB? Adelaide South Australia..christened at St.Mary Magdelene Church. C/E  Adelaide..and a George Nelson..  DOB also unknown.
I also found a Horris Nelson..registered..11 Jul. 1889..is this the DOB?  parents James and Mary Nelson..Adelaide...all christened at the same church...
I can't find a George, and wondered if this Horris is George...this record is on F/S.
There were sisters..and one deceased male.(1888) which I have records on...
As SA is a difficult place to get info, is there anyone who can look at this for me please... :)

Thanks to all concerned...I have been off line for some time..apologies for that...due to circumstances...I know I have been on this Nelson thread for some time now, and getting nowhere, as I believe documents etc were destroyed in Ireland...very frustrating..but to be fair to all who have helped me...I thank you..and will close this thread and move on....Dalek :) :-*

I think Mary was a little old to have had a child in 1899.

The Mail 17 Jan 1925

BROWN —NELSON. —The marriage of Hazel May, the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Brown, Paringa (late Williamstown), to Leslie, second son of Mrs. and the late Mr. James Nelson, Queen street, Adelaide, will be celebrated at St. Mary Magdalene, Moore street, on January 24, 7.30 p.m. Relatives and friends cordially invited to ceremony. No reception.

Well he was the second son but could not possibly be Mary's child.  Perhaps one of the dau's had a child.

Was your Leslie's mother Mary still alive in 1925?
