Ann HATHAWAY...Shapwick marriage 1780 to Andrew RIGGS

Am seeking birth & death details of Ann, and details of her parents.  Ann had 3 children--John, Henry , Joseph.   Andrew Riggs was born 1759, but have been informed that he emigrated (at age of 94) to Adelaide on the 'Marshall Bennett' in 1853--could this be true, at his age ?

there is an andrew riggs who died in winterborne stickland in 1828 born 1760
there is also an ann riggs who died in the same parish in 1827 born 1767
do you know which parish their children were born
it would seem a tall order that he emigrated aged 94

Thank you for the data.  No I dont know which parish the children were born in.  Although not impossible, it certainly is unlikely that someone would emigrate back then at 94 yo.

Hello Creation

The 1851C gives about 5 Andrew RIGG's in the Country none of whom are anywhere near 92 years old & you would expect to find him in 1851 if he emigrated in 1853 so I think you are absolutely right in questioning what you have found.

I suppose the only way to determine which one emigrated would be a process of elimination - finding out who was still alive in 1861, any that had died etc etc
