Annie,
I haven't found James Jukes, Japanner, and family in the 1851 census either. I have found his son, Richard [Henry] Jukes [b. 1820] and wife Ann in the 1851 census and their son James Jukes as a visitor at a home two doors away.
I have digital images of St. Philip's Church [Birmingham Parish] christening record for James Jukes and Mary Ann's children Emma, Richard, Caroline, Henry, Mary Ann, James and Sarah. If you would like copies, contact me at
rjukes@gmail.com.
I'm very happy to get possible dates for the deaths of James and Mary Ann from your previous post responses.
I also have digital images of Marriage record for young Richard Jukes' marriage to Ann Arnold at St. Philips in 1838: "Richard Jukes, minor, Bachelor, Japanner, Residence: Gough Street, Father: James Jukes, Japanner, marriage December 21, 1838, to Ann Arnold, Minor, Spinster, no profession, Residence: Suffolk Street, Father: Daniel Arnold, Blank Tray Maker. From digital image of Marriage Record: “Marriage solemnized at St. Philip’s Church in the Parish of Birmingham in the County of Warwick…"
Any further information on any of James and Mary Ann will be greatly appreciated. I figure James must have been born around 1800 also.
