Just bear in mind that not all church records are listed yet, some incumbents have kept their ledgers

  Hi ...

just to add a possible relation ...

Caroline Whitethread aged 11 buried 8 march 1826 born @1815  Hampstead St John.
Maybe a cousin who died same year as Caroline. Cannot see a baptism but the birth was before the marriage mentioned in 1817

Hi,

This looks like the one that is on the IGI, I'll have a look.  Thanks

Thanks for the extra info Tazzie. There was another Whitethread family there with the few scant records I could find. A couple called Charles & Maria Whitethread had a daughter Maria in 1821 who died in infancy. Maybe they had an elder daughter.

I'll add it to the list of Whitethreads.

Hi there
I have just stumbled across this post while researching my mums family, Whitthread.  To cut a long story short, I have discovered that the surname was originally Whitethread!  The Whitthreads were mainly from the St Pancras/Islington area, so it may be worth your while searching under Whitthread rather than Whitethread.  Caroline may even turn out to be a relation of my mums  ???  It looks likely to be the same family as I have traced the origins back to Hampstead...

PS St Pancras and Islington seem like they were classed as Middlesex in those days.....

Good luck!

You can now check maiden names of births prior to 1911 now on  gro.gov.uk, it will help searching for marriages of the parents

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for the response. Sorry I have taken so long to reply, It's an email that I use less these days. I've looked for every permutation but have had no luck. I am pretty sure that I have connected her into the right family, but have no proof as I have been unable to find her marriage, or birth entry.  :o

I think her father was William Whitethread a Plasterer from St. John's Hampstead. If you find out there is a connection Please get in touch.  :)
