Hi gnu,here we are again, Yes I have seen his record for the Hulks Record but apparently there is additional information if you send for this record from the NA, I was also wondering where the birth information came from.

I saw the original entry in the ledger so I don't think that there would be much more.

The entries vary, depending on the person writing the report. In some cases there are quite a few records but I think that this one was quite sparce as he was transported fairly soon afterward (Aug 1821)**

I'm looking for his Transportation record to see if that has anything more -
too many without ages/origins

** He arrived in May 1821 and was deported in August 1821 - barely 3 months

The set can be searched by the criminal's name, the place and date of their conviction and their estimated age. Images of the records are also available, which feature a range of further details including the apparent crime, terms of sentence, reports on prison behaviour, any letters written by the prisoner and a physical description.

Yes - that's what I thought that you were referring to.  They are at Nat Archives and online. I asked because you should always give your sources for such quotes!

As I said,  the records are variable and not all the list that you've quoted are included for every person.

Samuel was only there for 3 months so is not likely to have much of a record. Many were there for years and thus have lots of records.  I've put up what is there for him! 

I've consulted these records quite frequently so know how variable they are.

I'd like to find his Transportation record rather than discuss this any further.
