O'Connell Family History - please help fill in the gaps

According to family's oral history:

1.Lawrence O'Connell emigrated from Castleisland, Co Kerry, Ireland during the potato famine. He died in 1903 and is buried in Wisconsin.

2. Lawrence's son William O'Connell was born in Vermont in the 1860s or the 1840s according to the family.

3. William's son James (Jim) O'Connell was born and died in in South Dakota. He was buried in Rapid City in 1957. Jim had brothers Emmett & Lawrence (who lived on the Canadian border) and another brother John.

4. Jim's son Daniel (Danny) O'Connell was born in 1925 in South Dakota. He has passed away.

Any information about the first Lawrence, the wives of these O'Connell men or their siblings would be appreciated.

Your best bet is to trace from the USA side and try to locate townland in Castleisland or surrounds.
