It seems it was Duncan's second marriage

1925/2346 Dulcie Rosa Louisa  Howell to Duncan Keith  Dunbar

Cheers Janette

I see that Dulcie is buried in Hamilton Park.  Died 4 August 1959

I can't see a divorce though.

So finally there is a child linked to Athol Grace / Grace Athol - is there any information out there regarding twins after her marriage - I could be stretching friendships here! :D

The Athol in school record must be different, look at the record year and dob of Alice.
Perhaps this Athol is a name sake?

My apologies - that's a blow - just checked the dates myself and that rules her out!  :'(

Hi

I've located a newspaper death notice for Grace DUNBAR in the 'Turangi Chronicle'. She died in Taumarunui and the notice lists her two children and a bunch of grandchildren. I'll PM you the details.

There was no trace of a notice in the 'Manawatu Evening Standard' (Palmerston North). The other options I haven't checked are the 'NZ Herald' (Auckland), 'Wanganui Chronicle' a Taupo or Taumarunui paper.

Best wishes
Elli
