Looking for the marriage of a William Stimpson and Ann Broughton
any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure about those dates

1841 census shows eldest child aged 6 so any marriage would be pre- civil registration

Also - Ann is shows as not born in county so they may possibly have married elsewhere (1851 shows Leics)

Did you get her maiden name from one of the childrens birth certs

Where is he in 1851 I wonder - no entry and no death yet his age fits that of James?

There is this tree on Family Search which relates to their daughter Ann aged 2 in 1841

It shows her mothers maiden name as Pearson

What is given as William's occupation on the certificate and in the census?

From a magazine cover disk containing Oakham Baptisms (1813-1837), a couple that may be of interest -

3 Apr 1836, Elizabeth Stimson,  d/o William/Anne, abode Oakham, Occ Baker, notes aged 14 mths & 2 weeks

8 Jan 1837, Emma Stimson,  d/o William/Anne, abode Oakham, Occ Baker

Nothing for Stimpson, and marriages only go up to 1812 so too early

Trees have him Marrying Ann PEARSON, 07 June 1832, All Saints, Leicester.

They have her dying 1883, Leeor, Victoria, Australia but no Parents for her. They do have an exact date of Birth 12 Aug 1810, Leicester, Leicestershire.

There are 2 Victorian Death Regs 1883 for a Ann Stimson;

The one quoted in Trees 15 June 1883, Death Place Leeor, Victoria, age 75, Spouse THOMAS, Rsidence Leeor, Death Reg Wellington, Sth Australia
And the second;
Reg 1883, Victoria, 5696, Age 75
