19th century views of Angus by George Washington Wilson
« on: Wednesday 07 March 12 01:04 GMT (UK) »
This has recently been posted online and has pictures from all over Scotland including Angus (of which there are 501 photographs). The images are mostly of streets and buildings although there are a few images of people.

Most of my family tree covers the Highlands of Scotland, London, Hertfordshire and the Midlands of England. I work as a researcher in a military archive.

Nice find Lucia

Found the ones of Perthshire particularly interesting

The picture would appear to cover a good part of Scotland.

It's certainly interesting especially as it has images of streets as they were during the nineteenth century - very useful for the family historian. I'm hoping that someone will add the site to the list of links at the top of the page.
