Hi Liz

just wondering if you may be able to help me. I posted last week about the death of my grandmas brother.
Quote
Stanley A Potter
born march 1926 rochford
Died dec 1932 rochford
aged 6
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,594404.0.html

I found little information about it but, it did prove that grandmas memory of events are a little off ;)
but she was only 4 at the time.

Quote
Fri 4th Nov 1932
"Arthur Potter aged six, of  Stonebridge Road, Rochford, who on Sunday was accidentally knocked down by a motor car outside his home, died on Monday in hospital."

This does mean he died 31st Oct. I believe.

would you be able to find out if there was an inquest into the death and any info if pos :D
this may be a massive request I'm not sure but as I live in Nottingham cannot get there myself.

Many thanks. Helen

If there is any chance you could take a quick look at a Will for me and note the people mentioned, I'd be grateful.  It hasn't been digitised yet by the Essex RO for SEAX and I've seen some claims he's connected to the Harwich family, just wondering who may get a mention in his will:

Will: Thomas HURLOCK, Wivenhoe, Mariner
12 September 1646
D/ACW 14/167

Names and any relationship would do, I shall then wait until it's been digitised to get a copy.

Thanks

Nicola

I'd be most grateful if you would be able to zip through the baptism register for Lexden (there's only one church) years 1855-1869 to check if any Doubles, father Joseph, mother Emma, were baptised there.

I am Zoe Northeast, granddaughter of Maximilian Double.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,
Zoe
