Thomas Gostick
« on: Tuesday 20 March 12 00:04 GMT (UK) »
Hello, I am looking for the parents of Thomas Gostick born abt. 1789 in Sharnbrook Bedfordshire. He went on to be a Reverand and went to Canada where he died. It is possible he was a Wesleyan. My husbands line actually came from Poddington Beds but I am wondering if he is a decendant of this line.

There are no GOSTICK baptisms in Sharnbrook around that time, they occured some 40 years earlier and then there were no more. The PR groups GOSTWICK in with Gostick which the IGI unfortunately does not do. That being said there isn't a Thomas Gostwick listed, although there are some Gostwick baptisms in neighbouring Carlton at that time.

If he was a non-conformist minister there's every chance he was from a non-conformist family, so wouldn't have been baptised in the established church
