There are two deaths for a Peter James Gordon in Victoria. The one born 1881 in Vic died 1939 Prahran parents Peter and Phobe

The other died Whei? Victoria in 1985, age 72, estimated birth year 1913. Parents James Peter and Cecilia Ivy. No maiden surname given for the mother.

There will be someone along, with far more knowledge than me,  to help soon I am sure.

Was there an informant named on the birth certificate?

Hi Dee

Some details from the Victorian Electoral rolls.

1942 - Peter James Gordon ,Railway Employee and Daphne Frances Gordon, Home Duties living at 1 Staley Street, Brunswick

1949 -both at 101 Queensberry Street North Melbourne. He is shown as Storekeeper

1968 and 1972  - Both at 7 Bridgeford Avenue, Blackburn. He is Testing Officer and she is Clerk

1977 and 1980 - Daphne Frances Gordon, Manageress, living at 70 Whyte Street, Casterton - no sign of Peter James Gordon.

I assume they are your couple. I didn't look in New South Wales as yet.
Hope this might begin to help

Hi Dee,
   Welcome to rootschat  :)

I'm not sure about this but it is a picture of Daphne Brock of Unley engaged to Bill Gordon of West Croydon in 1949 in Adelaide Advertiser
Could he have been known as Bill?
