This is the index card I found for Charles Henry Rowe.  Would some kind soul be able to interpret the information on the card, especially the Cause of Discharge and the Action Taken?  As previously mentioned, all my evidence points to a birth date of 1891 for Charles.  Are there any circumstances under which a 14 year old (possibly 15) could/would enlist in the R.A.M.C. on 9.9.05?

I'm afraid the headstone inscription is of no help.  Doreen is buried in the same plot as my grandmother, who died in 1955.  Doreen would have been only 5 when my grandmother married Charles Henry Rowe so it stands to reason that they would become close.  There is no mention on the headstone of Charles who died in Kent.

Henny, welcome to RootsChat and THANK YOU so much for this information!

I would definitely like to exchange information about Charles Henry Rowe but cannot communicate with you by personal message (PM) until you have made at least three postings to RootsChat.  So, may I ask that you make two more postings, either to this thread or another one (they can be anything, even a "Hello").

Andy
