COMPLETED THANKS - Saxmundham - marriage/bapt. l/up John Mills

Hi all,
I have received some info that John Mills married Elizabeth Pretty in Saxmundham 19-2-1788.

Originally Elizabeth came from Claydon (bapt. 1754) and I would appreciate a lookup, if anyone has access to the parish registers, to see if any additional info is written.


It could be that the Pretty family were from Saxmundham to start with and that John Mills
also came from this parish and was  born about the same period (1750 ± 5) .

If anyone can assist I will be very grateful.

John Mills of the parish of Saxmundham singleman and Elizabeth Pritty of the same parish singlewoman were married by banns 19th day of April 1788.
He signed his name and she signed X
In presence of Jn Watson and Mary Pritty (both signed)

Many thanks for finding that info.

I feel sure this is the correct John Mills as it falls nicely in with  other  details
I have.  Also  the name of Hannah Dowsing is interesting as she is also in my tree, but whether
she is the correct one, remains to be seen.

You have given me another generation - now to find Benjamin & Hannah's baptisms.

My 4th Great Grandmother was born in Saxmundham around 1774. Mary was the daughter of Daniel Mills and Mary Martling. Daniel was born in Kelsdale in 1741, 10 of Daniel's siblings were also born in Kelsdale.
