Hello,

You should be able find and download census and baptism images to further embellish the website. I think I'll have a look now.

How will you get photos of the villages in Jutland?

The Peder Larsen Yde that you have found died (Død) in 1786 aged 13, whereas Dorthe Pedersdatter's father was still alive well into the 1800s.

Hello,

I was mistaken in thinking that your Peder Pedersen was the son of Peder Jensen and Dorthe. The fact that your Peder did not give the name Dorthe to one of his daughters made me somewhat doubtful.

Your Peder was born on 12 Aug 1843 to Karen Pedersdatter, the daughter of Peder Pedersen and Ane Elisabeth Nielsdatter - all of Odby. He was probably illegitimate, his father being named as Peder Andersen. He also had a brother (or half brother called Jens who was born in 1846).

In subsequent censuses, he is living with his married uncle Niels Christian Pedersen's family. Karen is living with the family too in 1850 and 1855.

Unfortunately, I had saved a lot of info on my laptop that has now died.
