Gravestone Washfield devon
« on: Monday 16 July 12 01:04 BST (UK) »
Hi Iam hoping someone local could photograph or copy info from a gravestone for me.

Melhuish headstone immediately south of porch of Church of St Mary the virgin. Washfield lane, Washfield, Devon , England

I found it on Internet as it's listed
John Melhuish Died 1787 and other family

I am related to a John Melhuish who died late but are hoping this will be his father and give me clues

Thanks so much if you are able to assist!
Sally

I can give you this.....

The John Melhuish who died 1787 was born in 1710 and had 2 wives.
1. Sarah Sanford (1716-1742) married 16 Sep 1738
2. Sarah Sharland( - 1802) married 8 Nov 1749

Children from Sarah Sharland are: Robert (1750-1858), John (1752-1816) married Joan Clatworthy, Elizabeth (1754-1801) married first Thomas Anstey and second Peter Blagdon, Margret (1756-1850) married Nathaniel Crudge, Hannah (1759-1759) and Jacob (1761-1806 married Elizabeth Parminter.

Child from Sarah Sanford is Ann (1742-1742)

Any help for you?
