I am unable to find Annie Mingaye who was Annie Pitt born 1873 in Warwickshire. She is widowed in 1905? and her daughter Elsie Jane also disappears who is born 1900.Her husband was Albert Howell Mingaye and he worked in a Cycle factory in 1901.What interests me is did Annie marry after 1905?Elsie doessurvive as she marries but it is a family mystery where they disappear to after 1901.Any ideas please?Even Annies death seems elusive?Thank you!

Hi  well Mingaye ought to be a 'nice' name to research,  there are two marriages in FreeBMD for Annie Maingaye in the warks reg dist

Marriages Jun 1916
Mingaye    Annie    Pugh    Warwick    6d   1730

Marriages Jun 1919
Mingaye    Annie    Houghton    Warwick    6d   1917

I see she also had a daughter Annie,  so one of these is probably for the daughter and the other posibly a remarriage for the mother - but which is which without the certs will be hard to tell   :-\

Ahh - had a thought

from Freebmd the Houghton/Mingaye marriage produced several children,  I won't name them cos they might just possibly still be alive,  there don't appear to be any offspring of the Pugh/Mingaye marriage.  As Annie (nee Pitt) was born approx 1873 it is unlikely she was still having children in 1930 therefore I would guess that the first marriage is hers and the second her daughters - however to be certain you would need to check the marriage records.

Elsie Jane was born in Cubbington which is dead on and Annie born in  Harborne-1873-again right!Annie Mingaye married a Frederick Percival Pugh in 1916 but in 1911 they said they had been married 4 years which is a bit odd.I am going to get the marriage certificate to be sure.Thank you though very much for putting me on the right track I hope!!

I just though I would let you know as I was putting information on my tree on a geneology site last night a link came in from another family who are doing the same line of Mingaye and they have confirmed you are right about the 1911 and them not marrying until 1916 so I am over the moon!!!Thank you so much!
