Llanboidy 1828 Birth/ Parish records

Hello Everyone
I was hoping some one could help me or point me in the right direction.
I am looking for the birth/ parish record of Phoebe Thomas born around 1828 in Llanboidy with parents Daniel Thomas born around 1786 and mother Dosia or Doasha born around 1791 (both parents were also born in Llanboidy, according to census records) There was also a sibling of Phoebe's, Benjamin Thomas born around 1827 in Llanboidy.
Any help would be great, and if not where can I access church records. Are they held in Llanboidy?

Hi Scorpioleah,

There is a baptism of a Benjamin Thomas at Henllan Amgoed Independent Chapel on 22 September 1821, son of Daniel and Theodosia Thomas of Llanboidy Parish. No record for Phoebe though.

There is also a baptism of a Daniel Thomas - 16 April 1785, again at Henllan Amgoed.

Daniel Thomas married Theodosia Phillip, both of Llanboidy Parish, at Llanboidy Church on 19 November 1811.

Hi Scorpioleah,

I found the baptisms on FreeReg. I couldn't find anything in Llanboidy Parish Records so assumed the family was nonconformist. The main chapel in the Llanboidy area is Henllan Amgoed - the oldest and the largest at the time. I have since had a look at the nonconformist records on FamilySearch and found 2 more baptisms.

Harriet baptised on 12 April 1817 at Bethlehem Ind Chapel, St Clears, and
James baptised on 6 March 1827 at Rhydyceisiad Ind Chapel, Llangynnin. Both to Daniel and Theodosia Thomas.

The family obviously used different chapels in the area to baptise their children. The problem is that there are several other chapels in the area whose records haven't survived.
