Thanks CaroleW, but no It's not him, he was living in LLanuwchllyn with his wife Mary nee Jones bc1790 LLanycil...no bap for him here either!!

There is a David baptised in Llangower on 8th December 1793, son of Cadwalader Thomas and Jane.

I can't make out the first part of the place name and so I have attached a small extract for identification.
