Rosehannah Stone - Tipton
« on: Wednesday 19 September 12 22:38 BST (UK) »
Hi my great-great grandmother was called Rosehannah Stone. She was born around 1847 in Tipton and I know that in 1871 she was married to a Jonathan Stone and had two sons John and James and lived on Canal Side Lane in Tipton. My great-grandfather name was Alfred and would have been born much later than that. Any ideas or help?

Thank you that was brilliant. She is my great-great grandmother and I am looking into her life. As far as I am aware her husband Jonathan my great grandfather was in prison in 1881 in Winson Green in Birmingham and then must have died sometime between 1881 and 1891 as she is a widow in 1891. She sounds like a remarkable woman.

I don't think either of them are him as he was in prison before both of them took place. Thanks anyway.

Hi again so if the 2 references to housebreaking were after the 1881 census, why could it not be him, do you therefore have knowledge of how long he was in prison from 1881?
