Name study of HOLM on the black Isle?

Hello to anyone,

Just wondering if there is anyone who is working a name study of the family HOLM.

I know from takling to someone there was a person called Tom Holm the Black Isle who was just doing this subject.

as i can not find him is there anyone who is working on this name study.

the reason being i have a load of information for them.

Yes, I have Isobel Holm recorded as being married to George Williamson, s/o Bernard and Margaret Ross.

I have George's father as Bernard Williamson who married Jean Mackenzie c1680 in Cromarty.

Jean Mackenzie is d/o Captain Daniel Mackenzie and Nancy Dunbar and sister to Rev Bernard Mackenzie who died 1713 at his Sandilands Estate, buried Fortrose. 

Captain Daniel Mackenzie is s/o Major Bernard Mackenzie and Mrs Ramsay. Major Bernard fell at the battle of Auldern, Scotland in 1645.

Major Bernard Mackenzie was s/o Colonial Mackenzie & Miss Wolford, d/o Countess Wolford of Belgium.

I will give you more information on Isobel Holm in a separate response.

Thanks for the 2 messages about the holm name study and isabel's parents etc.

i have a bernard williamson marring a margaret ross in 1726 and there son george williamson being born 1729 in cromarty.  my possible thought was did this bernard marry twice, first to your jean mackenzie and then to margaret ross.  this needs to be clarified - then this would make the missing link to your captain bernard mackenzie.

Hello,

I am related to Katherine Holm of Resolis (1791-1870) who married Alexander Fraser, a carpenter or millwright.  One of their sons is Alexander Fraser who emigrated to Tasmania and became my GG Grandfather. Katherine's parents were John Holm and Isobel Barnet.

I was wondering if you had these Holms (of Balblair or Resolis) in your information?
