Goggin/McCarthy Family

> My Ggggrandfather was Callaghan McCarthy, b. 1776, d. 1836, in all probability, in or near Chapeltown, Kerry, Ire.  He was married to Ann Moore.  They had at least seven children all, I believe, born in Ireland: Elizabeth, b. 5-15-1808, Chapeltown, Kerry, Ire, d. 1884, Hartland, IL, married in Ire prior to 1840 to Edward Goggin(my Gggrandfather),b.1803 in Castlegregory or Tralee, Kerry, Ire., d. 11-30-1855, Hartland, IL.   Other children of Callaghan and Ann were: John C., Florence, Dennis, John (died as an infant in Ire.), Bridget and Mary.

> Hartland/Harvard area is located just northwest of Chicago.  It appears that my Goggins and McCarthys were early settlers in that area after imigrateing from Ireland to Rochester and Buffalo, New York.  If you have any ties to this branch of Goggins and McCarthys please let me know and we can share infromation.
