My own view is that if, as seems pretty certain, there is/was no such place as Bigglesford in Rutland or any other county for that matter, Mr. Blewett is just as likely to have mistaken the county he was born in as the town or village. On the other hand I find the coincidence of Biggleswade and a Blewett christening at around the correct date very persuasive, although it is clearly nothing like a proof. Biggleswade is not so far away from Grantham.

I'm pretty sure he is the one on the 1841 census with his mother and son James spelt Bluet. I know his son was b 1830 so this must be them. They lived in and around Grantham according to all the research I have and also from family so I'm pretty sure but as you know this can be a frustrating hobby and you can't take anything for granted.
Anyway thanks again and if you need a look up for Rutland I have several CD's of Par regs. etc
