Borough's Walk, Derby 1872
« on: Friday 09 July 04 15:17 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find out a little more about Borough's Walk, Derby around 1872.

I have a relative, Maria Payne who was born there at number 50 on 3 January 1872.
(Father Enoch Payne and Mother Mary Payne formally Bradbury).

They perhaps only stayed there briefly as there first child was born in Sheffield in 1873 and they were living in Ashby de la Zouch in 1871.
The main names that I am researching into at the moment are Cadman,(originating from Bulkington, Warwickshire), Smedley, (Leicestershire and Derbyshire), Paynes (Leicestershire, Yorkshire and Derbyshire) and Udall - you will also find several other names on my web page. I look forward to E-Mails from anyone who would like to share or talk about our family history.

Try emailing Derby Evening Telegraph, they have a Bygone Section every Tuesday, it is very popular.  I have suggested this to others and there have been some very good results.
