This is the answer hopefully Mary must have been staying at her Uncle Frank I know my mother mentioned an uncle Frank and its possible she was staying with him after the death of her mother I know there was no closeness in her relationship with her stepmother who outlived Charles for a good numberof years.
Thank you for helping me my next step is go obtain the birth certificate.

My great grandmother was Emily Hirons of Long Lawford, born 1869, daughter of Charles and Mary Hirons who lived over the road, her daughter Ellen (Dodd) sadly died in the Flu Epidemic just after giving birth to my father.
Emily had 6 brothers and 3 sisters the youngest Mary born 1898 living with her parents never marrying. Sadly I know little more. There was a Paul Hirons who I believe was distant cousin who lived in Rugby, he had 2 children who would now be in their 70s now.
2 consecutive  generations of Long Lawford's Charles Hirons married a Mary.
Many of the family lived in and around the area, the Church Lawford Dumbleton family also of Long Lawford married into the Hirons family  2 or 3 times.
