Thanks again  Still working through all the bit n pieces and I agree pity George and Ann were born before 1837!

I had some help from the State Library of South Australia, who have an "Ask a Liberian" service.  They put onto the trove article with the passenger list.

 http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/38440355?searchTerm=shipping intelligence constitution&searchLimits=l-decade=185

The Constitution arrived 7th August 1851 from Liverpool 1st May 1851....

Also found an article with Isabella in Port Adelaide (this were Mary married Thomas Bray)

http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/49296028?searchTerm="Isabella steer" AND "Isabella steer"&searchLimits=exactPhrase=Isabella+steer|||fromdd=01|||frommm=01|||fromyyyy=1851|||todd=29|||tomm=12|||toyyyy=1900#pstart4143842

and again Isabella is in a spot of trouble when she is accused of robbery with the man she married John Bultitude..   I haven't fund the outcome of the trial yet  but interesting.

I finally found the Constitution coming into Adelaide June 1851.... It records a George Steer and 4 children....  I  now wonder if this could have been Isabella's son.  Sadly no record of her though.

The newspaper article actually says "George Steer wife and four children,"

Just to add to this I just found an article in re arrival of the Constitution

http://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/207009239?searchTerm=isabella+steer

which has Isabella Steer + 3 children and then a George Steer in intermediate...

I wonder if the other passenger list put one and one together.

There is also a William Henry Steer died 1855 Adelaide, father James Steer, wondering if this my William!!!
