We can now order QLD BDM Historic Certificates online and have them posted out, some images; if available can be downloaded at cheaper rate.

Isn't  this  wonderfull  another  Australian State  to  develop its website to allow  people  to  buy  historical  certificates on  line.  Previous to  this  I  had to go  into  Town  order  the certificate and pay  for it  and then  wait  several weeks  on  occasions.

Attempted to order certificate  for download,only offer is for receipt to be emailed.Back to the drawing board!!!

As far as I know, I have already (yonks ago) spent my pennies acquiring the Qld certs I needed for my family history .....

Many thanks though for all the efforts to get Qld to make certs available this way.   Now to get NSW BDM to at least allow wild card searches on their online website....    They promised to re-install the "  *  "  option nearly two years ago.   Ummmmmmmmm ..... they have a very long history of having issues with lack of funding ....

Thank you for the information. Peter Hardie and Susanna Winter's marriage certificate purchased and downloaded in 5 minutes so I am glad I didn't rush and purchase it before.
