I can still see 'of Sarah' - with very feint up/down strokes for the f, S and h. But I could just be imagining!

Diana seemed a modern name but apparently goes back to ancient Greece. Went along similar lines as Carol looking at Diara/Diaro. Not finding any Lichtenstein of these names though  ::)

Thank You

Had a reply typed and thought I had posted it correctly but it disappeared into thin air so I i'm trying again ....

I also would say it says 'and of Sarah'. Father's name looks like Susman to me.

Regards PB

I'm no help on the names but have you been able to find out where in Germany he/they were from?  To me it looks like Jechingen but couldn't find one in Germany.  There is a place called Hechingen and on Goolge maps it's only about 33km from Lichtenstein, Germany (which could be from where the surname comes from?)

Just a thought.

Susman has to be it as the S matches ...Not a lot of girl's names end in ara ...Liara, Klara, Sara but as noted, none of the capital letters match the letters already on page....
Part of the problem is the poor scanning of the original documents in the first place.
