Does anyone know anything about Llanviangel Cardiganshire and the birth parish records about 1801? I have been looking for an Edward Jones found on census forms in Monmouthshire with this place of birth for ages so thought I would give another try.

Immediate guess would be somewhere named Llanfihangel - the version you have is a good phonetic idea. There are in fact at least 3 in Cardiganshire

Llanfihangel Genau'r-Glyn - aruond 5 miles north east of Aberystwyth
Llanfihangel Ystrad - near Lampeter
Llanfihangel-y-Creuddyn - aruond 7 miles south east of Aberystwyth
