Mudgee parish registers
« on: Wednesday 10 July 13 02:59 BST (UK) »
Does anyone have access to the Mudgee parish registers?

I'm looking for the date of the baptism of ELIZA SMITH in 1870. In the BDM indexes her mother is given as Jane (presumably Smith), no father listed. I'm trying to determine if she is the child of Jane WALTERS and William SMITH who married on 12 November 1870 in the Presbyterian Manse.

Many thanks :-)

It doesn't look like the registers have been microfilmed by the SAG.  Some for Mudgee appear in their catalogue, but not for that year.  http://www.sag.org.au/

They would still be in the possession of the Uniting Church and they will search for a fee.

Hi Jang, I have found that the volunteers at the Mudgee Historical Society, just like their neighbours up the road at Gulgong, to be the most helpful people I have come across who will look up records.  If you don't live in Australia, I would be happy to give them a call for you to see if they will do a look up.
