"The Streets of Louth" by Dr Tom Green
« on: Thursday 18 July 13 10:08 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I have heard about this book which apparently describes the Victorian history of the streets of Louth and would like to get a copy - the publishers (Lindes Press) don't have any copies of it.

Does anyone know of anywhere I might be able to get it (preferably online or by post!) - I have tried Amazon / eBay etc.

Thank you,

Liz  ;D

You may have seen this but the Grimsby Telegraph reported in Dec 2012 that copies were availale from Wrights of Louth in Eastgate and the MSR newsgroup of Mercer Row.
Maybe worth giving them a ring to see if there are any copies left.

 ;D Good news!

I have tracked the book down ... it is being reprinted and should be available in a couple of week's time.  "Wrights of Louth" - a bookshop - will have copies and the man I spoke to there is very happy to take orders over the phone (cheque or credit card) and post when he has stock again.

The book is excellent - I saw a copy of it in Louth Library's Local History Room and read a few pages - I can't wait till Wrights are able to send me my own copy!

Hi Liz,

Sorry for the delay in thanking you for the information. I've contacted Wrights, and they are still out of stock, but expect a re-print in October. So, my names down !!!!   Thanks again.
