Richard Lambourne marriage.
« on: Thursday 18 July 13 15:21 BST (UK) »
Hi folks.

Did a Richard Lambourne marry a Rachel, possibly Chapman. Around 1802 - 1806 in Leighton Buzzard.

Richard Lambourne was born 1784 @ North Marston, Bucks. & Rachel(Chapman) was born c1783 @ Mentmore, Bucks.

According to IGI(Familysearch), there is a daughter, Sarah Lambourme born in 1805, Leighton Buzzard.
She was baptised, 24 Nov 1805 @ St Mary the Virgin @ Mentmore.  But was of Leighton Buzzard, according to BucksFHS,  Mentmore parish regs.

Thanks folks.

Steve. :)

Hi Steve

Daughter Jane who was born in Cheddington in 1811 is my connection with the family. She is my 3x great gran. Colourful little line. Jane married Thomas Seabrook 1830. Thomas died in 1831.
Banns  were called in 1834 for Jane to marry William Waters Bach of Cheddington. However he must of done a bunk and it did not happen.
In 1836 Jane married William Hedges an interesting baptism appears in 1837......
Mary Ann Waters dau of William Waters of Leighton shoemaker & Jane Seabrook since married to William Hedges.

Dinah Lambourne went through it as well........two husbands, married and died in 10 years.  Nelson Wallace/Wallis lasted 4 years of marriage, and Joseph Mitchell lasted the same.

Talk about 7 year itch......she had a 4 year itch. ;D

  Hi Steve
Blimey what a mix we have there! but not the only murder case in my family another 3x great gran Jane Favel was charged with the murder of her daughter but all charges were dropped at trial. It is listed as the Lamsey murder in Leighton Buzzard.

Do you have a date for Richards death? I cannot see it in my lists anywhere.
Off to have another look at this line.

No date for Richards death/burial.......but obviously between 1824 & 1841.   I would hazard a guess it was in Leighton Buzzard area.

No burial in Cheddington, North Marston, Ivinghoe or Aylesbury.  His wife Rachel was buried @ St Mary's, Church in Aylesbury.....4 March 1851. aged 68 of Walton. (Just missed the census. :( ).

Maybe an enquiry to the BucksFHS, or on the Bedfordshire boards. ;)
