Trying to trace the ancestors of Fay Esther Newman
« on: Tuesday 30 July 13 10:39 BST (UK) »
We start with Lindsay Neville Norman 1911 - 1987
He married Fay Esther Newman 1922 - 1971

The death record for Fay Esther Newman shows her parents as being Alfred and Deborah.

I am trying to trace Alfred and Deborah.
I have found a few records but most of them say Louis Alfred Newman, I'm not sure if it's the same guy, he is married to a deborah.
I keep going around circles and I'm thinking some fresh eyes might help.

I'm hoping to find Fay's parents and grandparents ggrandparents etc I'm wondering when the family came to Australia and where they came from ?
Researching Whitby from England & Australia, Taylor from Scotland & Australia, Norman/Normand from France & Australia. Other last names in my tree Raeburn, Appleby, Ingram, Lynch, Hayes, Baker, Ketley, Newman, Dobson, Holdsworth, Summerill, Summerell.

Hi
I'm assuming you have got the marriage of Louis A Newman 1910 to Deborah Soloman.
If it is him he died 1935 Sydney,
Passenger list 16.2.1916 has Louis A Newman tailor aged 34 Sydney to San Francisco born russia and English citizen.
Will do more when power cut at Australian Archives is worked out.

Sue

I have the marriage record
Lindsay Norman to Fay Esther Newman

Death record of Fay lists her parents as Alfred and Deborah

I have found some records for a Louis Alfred Newman married to a Deborah but I'm trying to find out if this Louis Alfred Newman is the Alfred Newman I am looking for.
