Just to add yes its does fit nicely with the birth any prob why they were with relatives on other census

Resurrected this because I came across an obituary for Mary Veronica Roman earlier.

Mary V. Romano of Peekskill died December 19, 2001. She was 89. Mrs. Romano worked as a telegraph operator for Western Union in New York City. She was born November 18, 1912 in New York City to John and Catherine Banagan Davitt. On November 9, 1946 she married Eugene Romano in New York City. - etc etc

Family members who died earlier include husband Eugene Romano and a son John L. Shaw, one brother John Davitt and a sister Catherine Davitt. Calling hours are Thursday 7-9 pm and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home. The funeral is Saturday 10 am at Assumption Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. The U.S., Social Security Applications and Claims Index, 1936-2007 which we didn't have in 2013 confirms the parents.

Not sure if we included the possible death record for John Davitt either - so just in case here is one to bear in mind
