Langford Paris burials - William & Ann BLAND
« on: Saturday 24 August 13 08:06 BST (UK) »
Hi

Seeking help with locating the burial of William & Ann BLAND, believed to be in Langford. William Bland was baptised 1739, Ann Bland in 1754. They married in 1781 after the death of William's first wife. There are children baptised in 1786, although I have been unable to trace any record of burials on freeref or IGI in Langford.

Is there anyone with knowledge of the Langford burial records after 1812?

Regards
Jim

The only burials on the IGI tend to be infants. Burials on Freereg have only been transcribed up to 1812.

The NBI is on http://www.findmypast.co.uk/search/parish-records/baptisms where the index is free, although you would have to buy units to view the entry. I can't see anything obvious.

I can't find his first marriage to Susannah - have you been able to locate it?   Since found it as BLANE

If his son Joseph moved away from Langford perhaps his father did too.

David

Hi David

Many thanks for the advice. Like you, I have looked on findmypast but there is nothing that looks appropriate.

There appear to be a number of children to his second marriage to Ann Osborn baptised in the 1780s & 1790s so I don't suspect he moved further with a young family - I could be wrong!

Joseph moved much later in his life, after his children had reached their late teens/early twenties.
Thanking for you looking anyway - much appreciated.

Is there anyone with knowledge or access to the transcripts of post 1812 burials in Langford or are they already included in the NBI on findmypast?
Regards
Jim

The NBI, which is what's on Findmypast, for Langford has been transcribed up to 1851

I wonder if Bland might have been mangled when transcribed
