« on: Wednesday 23 October 13 22:00 BST (UK) »
Hi,
Please can anyone help me, I am trying to trace a David Walters born abt 1801 at Wood farm Roch in Pembrokeshire, South Wales.  There are a lot of Walters or Walter  in Roch parish at that time, he married a Margaret Griffiths around 1821 and they had 2 children,  Thomas born in 1822 and Anne born in 1825,  In the 1841 census they were living at Wood Farm, does anyone know who David's parents were.

thank you dillbryn...........

Hi

And Welcome to Rootschat.

Have looked at the 1841 census and in that census ages were supposed to be rounded down to the nearest multiple of 5, which could make David a few years older, the link below takes you to familysearch which have a baptism but no parents, however the full baptism can be found on FindMyPast, a sub based website.

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/KC19-JWK

Also here is the marriage for him and Margaret

David Walters a farmer from Roch, mar. Margaret Griffiths 21 Oct 1824, at Brawdy Parish Church.

There was also another child to David and Margaret bp. in Brawdy

William bp. 22 March 1827 Roch, born 16 Feb. 1827 son of David and Margaret Walters of Wood a farmer.

Hi  Claire and Jo,

Thanks for the replys, so if this is the right David Walters he was 6 years older than he said he was on the 1841 census, but that is the only one I can see in that date range so it may be. I have not yet looked up on FindMyPast, but how could I be certain it was the right person, are all births registered or were some missed out at that time.
Thanks dill
