Swanage - COOPER - Obituary/death date

Dear Forum,

Seeking assistance to locate details or possible obituary etc for Jane COOPER (nee TATCHELL) born 1870 Langton Matravers, died after 1915, possibly after 1930's Swanage. Also any newspaper artcile regarding;
James Seaward COOPER born 1881 Steeple, Dorset and died 4th Quarter 1946 Swanage.

Hi

Are you sure that the death record you have is the correct man ? FreeBMD gives the age of death as 81, surely your James would have only been about 65.

Also there are no other James S Coopers in that quarter registered in Dorset. This man has a probate record and his full name was James SAMPSON Cooper and died 2 Oct. 1946.

This is the probate record for him:

James Sampson Cooper of 'Little Red House', Highland Road, Colehill Wimborne, Dorset died 2 Oct. 1946 at Duncliffe Nursing Home, Durrant Road, Parkstone, Dorset. Probate at Winchester 11 Dec 1946 to John Bartram Shoveller Attlee, solicitor.
Effects: £29,045  1s.  11d.

There is a tree on Anc* that has James Seaward Cooper's death in 1942, but no dates or sources that I could check.
