I have been going round in circles with this and found nothing!! Where can I find Channel Island marriage/death info? Totally lost on Ancestry!! Looking for marriage between WILLIAM JOHN WIFFEN from Essex and CECILIA LOUISA ALLEN from the CI. They definitely had two sons....WILLIAM J born c1888 and ALBERT WIFFEN born c1889, both on the CI. It would then appear they had a daughter HELENA CECILIA in 1897. Cecilia died in 1899 and William and his sons were back in Essex for the 1901 census. On the 1901 CI census a Helena Wiffen aged 4 was with a Mary Ann Allen who I am guessing was the grandmother, although the place of birth for the young girl was England. Everything else fits. I can find no further record of young Helena? Hoping someone out there can help me please

You won't find anything on Ancestry - because Jersey & Guernsey are two states independent of the UK, and have their own records!

Best place to look is Donkipedia and Jerripedia.

1881 Cecilia L. Allen, born c 1860 Alderney is a Cook/Servant in the  De Saumerez  Household.

Now in 1871 Thomas/Mary Ann have a Son Charles H.
