he may well have done. I can see him leaving London for Sydney in 1957 with wife and young daughter but can find no trace of the wedding in England or wales even thought I know the bride 's name and she was from Nottingham.

I am so shocked to see what has happened overnight. I am overwhelmed with information, thank you all so much. If the Brewer side is easy to follow back I would love as much about Allen Louis as you can get me, no one knows where they came from as my dad's family dont talk - I am interested though
I think Desmond was married prior to Sandra Edwina Margery Lanchbury (my grandmother) he went to war for a year and came back and his first wife was 3 months pregnant! WHOOPES!

Allen Louis BREWER  is registered as  Births June quarter of 1881 at Wimborne  5a 266   
we know the father was Tom Brewer from the marriage>

so on assumption without a census I am laying odds on fathers marriage being>
Tom Challice Brewer  marrying    Exeter  5b 205 in Dec quarter of 1880 to either Ellen Elizabeth Brooks or Elizabeth Harry............

and if that is the father then his birth cert reg ref is>

 March quarter of 1858  "Brewer  Tom Challies"   at  St Thomas  [5b 66 ]
Tom C may have remarried in 1913 or so and died in 1956,,,,,,   those one can find on freebmduk
as for sibs etc etc   one needs census to plot them and movements

I believe the Allen L marriage may have been Banns??

 with the fathers name of "lily"   the census set will have to be found to see if there are any sibs and also to affirm the mother of the child,     because there are way too many Lily Clarkes on bmd....   although I would speculate on the one listing for Fareham.??...     Not going there til I see some census.....   and I think there even may namesake married for the parents of Lily......  a thought anyways...
another thought>    if the movement to Australia was in 57 that would make sense cos Tom C Brewer died in 1956........

This is from the 1881 census - which has Lily of the right age, and born in Cropwell - which is what she declares on the 1911 census. Father's occupation is about right
BUT father isn't Samuel?!
