I've had a look but I'm afraid she doesn't show up too readily.Having said that though,I'm a bit puzzled as to why you've placed this under Flintshire?

Thanks. my mistake, I probably connected her with Flintshire / Ellesmere due to the marriage.

This is rather odd.  ???
BMD has them marrying Ellesmere.
North Wales BMD doesn`t have them at all
FindMyPast has them in Brymbo ,
Perhaps the marriage will give some clues. I don`t have a sub to FindMyPast

Yes I looked also at North Wales BMD before my reply. It looks like the marriage was a "Civil" one in Shropshire, given that apart from the entry in the ordinary BMD Index no further reference is given on Family Search.

Hi Wilcoxon, I can only find the banns, not the marriage. I've pm'd you.

Where did you find it was a Civil marriage. I can`t find it on Shropshire BMD.
It is quite confusing that the "Banns" were read in what seems to be Ruabon Church and a licence was issued , but the marriage didn`t take place there

Well having several marriages from the Ellesmere District in my own Tree, both from Flintshire and Shropshire, when there is a Church marriage Family Search will give an official pairing.

It does seem strange though that the Banns were read at Ruabon!

there are two "banns" on the same page.
both cases, one is a person of Ruabon, and the other partners are of Baschurch (Sarah) and Knotty Ash (Herbert Thornily)
I think perhaps  if the couple were from different parishes then Banns had to read in both.
There is a note that says "certificate given" on mine, and also / / two lines across.
