This is a headstone for John Whelan, Thomas Byrne and Margaret Sheehan in Kilcarrig, Co Carlow

 The head stone  is of my great aunt, Margaret Sheehan, her uncle Tommy Byrne, and a cousin John  (Jack) Whelan who was originally form Dublin.

John Whelan was the grand son of Frances Sheehan and a Whelan who were married in Carlow around the 1840's.

Hope that helps, I would be very interested to find out more if this John Whelan is a relation of yours.
