John, I've had a stab at tracing the line to Catherine Roberts from Elizabeth Morcombe

Henry Roberts (of Mawgan) married Elizabeth Morcombe at St Columb Minor 1759

William Roberts born to Henry & Elizabeth Roberts at Mawgan 1774 (older namesake brother born 1760 has a burial in that name 1772)

William Roberts (of Mawgan) married Elizabeth Cleymow at St Columb Minor 1796

Catherine Roberts born to William & Elizabeth Roberts at St Mawgan 1806

Does that tally with your own research ?  All info from Cornwall online parish clerks but I couldn't see William Williams' marriage to Catherine Roberts on there
