That's a super interesting census entry isn't it ~ I can't say I've seen one like it before !

Do you have an occupation for Denis ?

It would be on his son Michael's marriage cert !

Going by the 1911 Census it states that Denis was staying with Edmond O'Connor of Derrindaff.

I would presume then that this is Edmond ~ address match to Derrindaff.

I wouldn't worry about the fact that Denis isn't on it ~ not all census takers were are thorough as the fab one in his own townland of Knockbrack.

Just attaching a map so that you can see the distance between the two areas, incase you haven't already !

Here are Denis & Edmond together on the 1901 Census in Derrindaff !

So, now there is a rough age for Denis, to work with !

Thank you so much. We were struggling with where Edmund lived as couldn't spell Derrindaff correctly thought the rr was tt. The marriage certificate has Denis down as a farmer. This must be the correct one. If only we knew this a few weeks back when we were over there. It seems Denis is a little older than Catherine by about 15 years. We think this link maybe where Catherine is in 1901:

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Kerry/Brosna/Knockbrack/1426449/

This has John & Mary her children in it along with a possible brother. We just found this tonight. Interesting tho that Mary is stated as born in Co Clare and not Limerick.
Kent mainly. Butcher, Dodd, Martin, Highwood, Hopkins, Shoat, Goldup, Thornby, Hammon, Edwards, Taylor, Back, Gower, Stevens, Read, Ottaway,

It's her and the kiddos for sure  ;D

OK So, now we have them all in 1901 & 1911.

Certain townlands here straddle the borders so it can be tricky with people from these areas and where they say they were born.

So, what are you looking for next ?
