Quote from you wisteria16;
" John Lynes Baptised (6th Dec. 1801) Kirby Muxtoe"

From what I have found John Lynes was Baptised Enderby..
John LYNES,
Baptised 8 Dec 1801, St John the Baptist, Enderby
Parents JOHN/SARAH
Birth 6 Dec 1801**
(FreeREG)

Siblings;
Baptisms only, exact dob is on there also you can see for yourself;
WILLIAM, 30 April 1804
MARY ANN, 19 April 1807
JEMIMA, 18 Sept 1809, may have died and another Child named after her (see below)
(FreeREG)

A JOHN/SARAH Lines Baptise a JEMIMA 22 Nov 1812 Kirby Muxloe.
She was buried 20 March 1814
(F/S.Org)

So if the same John/Sarah (which I think they are) sometime between 1809-1812 they move to  Kirby Muxloe.

Did you John marry Martha TOWNSEND 1832?

Marriages;
St Bartholomew,   Kirby Muxloe
MARY ANN Loynes/ William MAY 20 Aug 1829
JOHN Lines/Martha TOWNSEND 15 Oct 1832
WILLIAM Lines/Ann TAYLOR 24 May 1834

Trish :)

Nearest I can find;
Marriage
22 Feb 1796, Hugglescote And Donnington, Leics
John LINES/Sarah BOYER
(F/S.Org)

Would need other Children to them 1797-1800 ish to prove this is the right Marriage.

Also in 1841 Census William MAY appears to be living next door to John/Martha Lines.

Mary is with her Mother;

1841 Census
HO107/600/2/Glenfield
Sarah LYNES, 75
Mary MAY, 30, Dressmaker
Richard May, 8
Emma May, 7

Hi Trish,
     Pleased to hear from you - sorry that I have not replied earlier but I have been on holiday.  I will dig out my "Lynes" folder and check the info that you have kindly sent.  I haven't worked on this family for 18 months or more so need to get back up to speed with this family.  Will be in touch in a couple of days. Many thanks again.

Hi Trish,
     I have just managed to go through my files on the "Lynes" family and can confirm that the info you have given me is in fact the family that I am tracing.  Some of the information I have already but I had not got the siblings of John Lynes.  I also was pleased to discover that on the 1841 census he was living next door to his Mother, Sister & family.  I am pleased that as a family they were close as Martha his wife died very young & his family would have been key to him being able to carry on raising his family as he never re-married.  This has given me the incentive to start again with this family.  Many thanks.

I am glad I could help.
Yes it is lovely they are living next door to one another.
I love it when researching puts more "bones" on the Family instead of just B/M/D.
Good luck with more research.
Let us know if anyone can help more :)
